[Fixed] Wrong midi mapping - Stagelightteam - 21-08-2018

i connected a novation lunchpad pro to my chimp 100.
The midi input is shown in the setup.
I get input for all buttons on the lunchpad.
But only 2 midi notes are controlling the exectutors?
Note 77 -> executor page 2 executor 3
Note 67 -> executor page 2 executor 6
This is absolutely not like explained in the chimp manual!!!
Also the button configurations are not working with midi input. I configured the executor buttons as flash (go+off) this works with the chimp buttons but I have to send the midi note twice for on and of.

I need a quick solution because the midi control is very important for a big show in 2 weeks

Hi Stagelightteam,
Thank you for your feedback.
yes, normally every MIDI keyboard, or MIDI device will work on Channel 1.
Can you check somethings for me?
1) Go to the MIDI menu in the Chimp, and press Midimonitor.
2) press button 1 on the Novation....what mididata do you see now?
3) Press the next button....what mididata see you now?
I think you need to map your midi data in your Novation.......

I am using the Novation Launchpad Pro in programmer mode. According to the launchpad manual I checked the correct input on the chimp using the midi monitor.
Every input is monitored correctly but the notes do not hit the correct executors

Hi,

You need to see Notenumber 60 to 92 for virtual executors 1 to 32.(on executor-page 1)

The normal executors (page 1 to 6), have notenumber 0 to 59 (60 executors)

Everything only works on MIDIchannel 1.

We are checking this now as we speak Smile

We testing this now on 10 different Chimps (chimp 100 and chimp 300).

We tested this on UPDATES: V1.05, and V1.06.

Hi,

I don't have a Novation Launchpad Pro, but I downloaded the manual.

Maybe it works as follow:
On the Launchpad press on the left side square button 1.
This button is MIDI notenumber 81, and you can trigger Virtual executer 22.
If you pres the button right beside this one, you select Notenumber 82=V.E.23.
Second row left is Notenumer 71..etc....
You can find this info on page 17, Launchpad pro user guide.

Ok i am now deeper in the situation!
Virtual executors are reacting to the corresponding midi notes from chimp manual.
For testing I connected also another midi source to chimp.
Midi note 0-59 are shown in midi monitor but they still do not cause any action to executor page 1-6!
But this is the thing I need!

Master fade tapsync and master speed tapsync are also working correctly with midi input!

Hi,

Please start a new show, and try again.
We found out, if you try to trigger MIDI in a show made in V1.04, in a higher version (v1.05), then you
wil see the MIDI in the MIDImonitor, but the executors refuse to work.....
