Lampy 40 2u - original firmware - boot failure - Shainihepipipal - 23-09-2024

Showtec Lampy 40 2u
original software, no updates, in use since october 2022
no external screen
usb lampĀ
no network devices

First few times we got the screen in the picture attached, notifying that the "CMOS date / time not set". Used an external keyboard to hit the f1; the console proceeded to boot.

This issue would come and go during two weeks, sometimes it would boot normally, sometimes it would ask the keyboard command.

The bug evolved and now after the keyboard command it starts booting but then enters a loop screen after the memory is loaded.

What to do?

So it seems to have a corrupt something...
After changing the battery we still get the loop at boot.
Entered the utilities menu: no splash renders some command lines for like 2 seconds, then loop.
When shutting down from the same menu, I get the message: "error: cant find command echo / error: cant find command halt"

Please , any help would be much appreciated. We have live shows to do and for the moment we are working with an interface and laptop.

Would a clean install solve this? How can that be done?

To resolve the boot loop issue with your Showtec Lampy 40 2U console, first, ensure the CMOS battery is correctly replaced and properly connected. If the problem persists, consider performing a clean install of the original Block Blast software, which may resolve any potential software corruption.

Please delete old data and reinstall the fish eat fish latest version

The first step is to replace the CMOS battery inside the console. The battery is typically a small coin-shaped battery (usually a CR2032) located on the fnf motherboard. And then open the console (refer to any manufacturer-provided manuals or take it to a qualified technician if you're unsure)
