De chimp will start after that screen but it takes 5 a 10 minutes. I will try tommorow what you said

My next question is: how do i get the visual buttons and cue’s in color? On my chimp they are always grey. On youtube and facebook i see in de movies that de buttons and cue’s/presets have colors on the edges.

For example: you have in magic sheets 10 buttons and every button is a color preset.
1 is red 2 is blue and go on.
I can choose only a item color but in the movies the edges have de color of the preset.

Hi Patrick,

You can change de edge colors of presets, cuelists, groups and fixtures by pressing the "Name" key twice (Name-Name); The commandline will show "Appearance"
Kind regards,

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a major Feature Update release adding lots of new functionality including Inter-Console Networking, Live Status Data, Preset Auto Generation and a lot more.
For Details please refer to the manual V1.09.

New Feature: Inter-Console Networking (Beta)
--------------------------------------------
The Chimp console now allows 2 consoles of the same type to be interfaced in a Master-Backup configuration. The Backup Console will syncrhonize the Show from the Master console and disable its own DMX and ArtNet output while in Backup mode.
The Backup Console will mirror all actions taken on the master console.

If the Master console fails the Backup console will enable its DMX outputs and take over and act as a standalone console again continuing from where the master failed. Networking has received its own main window which is accessible from the top right menu bar in the main screen.
Connecting is as simple as selecting the Master Console from the network discovery overview and clicking the "Connect" button.

Requirements for establishing a Tracking Backup Link:
 - Both Consoles need to be of same Type
 - Both Consoles need to be running the same software version
 - Both Consoles have set IP addresses from within the same network (e.g. 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2)
 - Both Consoles are linked with Gigabit Ethernet (100MBit won't do!). They can be linked using a direct cable connection between both console or through a network switch. Make sure to use properly shielded Cat5 or Cat6 network cable!
 - The Master Console has a show open

While in Tracking Backup the GUI of the Backup console can be running in one of 3 GUI modes:
 - "Link to Master" will share programmer and fader/executor page selection with the Master (and also some other settings such as Solo, Highlight etc.)
 - "Extended UI" will still share programmer with the Master, but Page Selection and all other settings are independent thus forming a setup looking like a bigger console with double the amount of faders and executors.
 - "Multi User" will give the Backup Console its own programmer enabling programming of fixtures from 2 independent user interfaces

The Inter-Console Networking has the following known limitations:
 - When establishing a network connection Playback Data from the Master console cannot be synced to the Backup Console on connection. Thus currently when the link is established the Master Console will release all playbacks once when the Backup Console connects.
 - The adding/deleting of Fixtures cannot be done during a Backup Link. It needs to be done on the Master Console before establishing the network connection. Fixture Settings (including Patch) however can also be changed during the network session.
 - Midi/Sound/Timecode/DMX Input are not mirrored from the Master Console to the Backup Console. You need to make sure that the Backup Console receives the same data on its hardware inputs as the Master console. Otherwise Show data might differ (e.g. Learn Timecode)
 - The Backup Menu will not offer Show Functions "Open", "Save As" and "Delete" during tracking Backup since tracking backup currently can only synchronize an entire show once during connection.

New Feature: User Colors for Items
----------------------------------
Fixtures, Groups, Presets, Cuelist and Master Faders can now have individual user defined Colors which will be represented in the form of a colored border for each element.
Faders and Executors will mirror the assigned color of their associated memory. To set the user color press "Name" twice to switch into appearance mode. Then press the elemnt that you would like to set the color for.

In addition to the user Color Preset now have the ability to define an Icon and Icon Color. Icon and Icon Color wil be shown in the background of a Preset Item. Icon and Icon Color can be set through the "Edit Preset" Dialog.
Item Icons and Colors will also automatically be generated from Fixture Library Information, if Presets are auto generated by the new Preset Generator Function (see below).

New Feature: Cuelist Live Fade Status Information
-------------------------------------------------
The Cuelist View Window now shows live status information in the background of running Cues. Live Status Data includes Fade and Delay information for Cue In- and Out- Timing and wait time countdown for starting of the next Cue.
Fader and Executor Display as well as the Cuelist Pool will show a summarized timing information for the visible Cues inside their Cue Information rows. For running Cues the summarized timing of In- and Out- Timing will be displayed. Fader items will show countdown to the next Cue in the last row, if available.
If multiple Cues are active simultaneously then timing will be diplayed in multiple rows as well.
The timing is always calculatd based on the values inside each Cue. Hence empty Cues won't display timing. Please also take into account that MiB might move playback data to another Cue. MiB will also apply MiB Fade and Delay. Thus MiB might also affect the visible timing information.
Timing information is not simulated - instead it is take directly from the playback engine and will also take into account all Playback Funcstion such as Speed Faders, Pause or Skip Functions.

New Feature: Preset Auto Generation
-----------------------------------
The Preset Pool Window now offers the ability to automatically generate Presets based on Fixture Library Information for the selected Fixtures.

To generate Presets you need to:
1. Open the Preset Pool Window
2. Select the type of Presets that you would like to generate (e.g. Color Presets)
3. Select one or more Fixtures
3. Press the "Auto Generate" and follow the generator Dialog.

Presets can be generated multiple time for one or more Fixtures. If no suitable Library Range Information is available then no Presets will be generated. Presets will organized by Fixture Types and Parameter Type. E.g. Presets from Color Wheel 1 and Color Wheel 2 will be added individually after one another.

Programmer Upgrade:
-------------------
 - Programmer now shows current output value on stage in the background of each cell when no Programmer Value is available
 - Added a new "Sort" Function to list the selected fixtures by their selection order. This function is enabled by default. The old behavior (sorting by user numer) can be activated again using the "Sort" button inside the programmer titlebar.
 - Added a new Quick Color Tab inside the Color Menu to access 40 often used standard RGB Colors quickly.
 - Pressing Programmer Feature Group Buttons (menu bar on the right) multiple times now cycles automatically through the available Features from the Feature Selection toolbar.
 - Added Fixture Selection Solo Function. If enabled and if at least one Fixture is enabled then all selected Fixture will go into Solo mode which means that all other Fixtures will go into blackout mode during Solo.
 - Solo Mode can be toggled through the Solo button in the Fixture and Group Selection Pools, the solo button in the Programmer Titlebar or through the new Hotkey "Shift + Highlite".

Other Features:
---------------
 - Multi-Preset Delete: If "Delete" Button is followed by "Preset" then the console will not automatically delete the selected preset, but wait for user input to specify range of presets to be deleted. Example: "Delete Preset Intensity 1 Thru 10 Enter".
 - Added Trigger Column to Cuelist View in Chase Mode

Fixes:
------
 - Fixed user library not being stored in some occasions when Fixture Library was transferred from another library (Show or Factory library).
 - Fixed learn timecode function running through all Cues at once under some circumstances
 - Fixed Cuelist Executor not outputting dimmer Value due to hidden Cuelist Dimmer Fader at 0%
 - Fixed Cuelist Cue Command Editor linking to wrong Cuelist on first Combobox entry
 - Fixed Chaser Fade Master GUI Bug: Changed Label Text from "Default (Cue Timing)" to "Default (No Fade Timing)"
 - Fixed Master Speed Fader not restoring last settings from Showfile correctly
 - Fixed Cuelist Output not crossfading on Cuelist Assert
 - Fixed Cuelist using Timecode mixed with Wait Cues in Timecode "Goto" Mode would jump back to Timecode Cues repeatedly
 - Fixed Cuelist using Wait time of "0s" not triggering Cue
Hi, after changing to version 1.09 it takes about 5 mins until the starting routine is done. Please find attached the pic where the procedure stops for some mins. I looks like that I have the same problem like Patrick. I tried to set an IP but it was not possible. Didn‘t safe it. And I tried to install all releases of the software from version 1.02 on. No improvement. Any idea how to fix the issue? Thanks! Wolfie

Hello Wolfgang,
this is unfortunately the wrong thread. Please post next time in the right area. This thread is only for announcing new software releases.

Your problem is due to the network settings. The console is looking for a DHCP server, but unfortunately can not find one. Give the console a fixed IP address in the network settings, then it should work

Multifixture support will come. It was not advertised or planned for Version 1.09 and please understand that it’s a major change in the software which results in many parts of the code to be rewritten.
