LAMPY 20, DONGLE YES, 1.1, Master fader infade/playback fader dimmer who s the boss
#1
Lampy 20, 2 universes

Software Version
1.1

External touch screen connected:
Yes

No USB devices, no network devices

Short description of the bug:
If you have a playback under the master playback and the fader of the original playback is a dimmer, you always have to open that one. Inconvenient if on a different page or if you forget top open it.
The infade fader of the master playback does not overrule that. Also the GO does not overrule that.

How to reproduce the bug
Put a playback with the fader in dimmer function under the Master playback with an infade function and try.

What do you expect?
I expect the Master playback to be the Master, even when the original dimmer fader is closed.

Hi,

this is not a bug per-se but by design.

Infade and Dimmer are two different fader options that are not related to each other, and also it is two physical faders that are not related to each other.

you could set the Playback's fader to disabled in this case, so it will not do anything.

Denis

Hello Denis,

True, it is not per-se a bug. That was my doubt to post it (here).

It feels strange that these two are connected in a way. I know the infade does something different as the dimmer function. But why would you sometimes need the original playback to make your Master playback work?

Of course, you can disable your playback. But also that is something you must do separate from putting a playback under a Master playback. In my view a Master playback must work on its own, independent. But, that is only a view.   Wink

Bastiaan
