  Chimp challenge delivers victor
Posted by: Leon - 19-10-2018, 04:32 PM - Forum: News - Replies (1)

The kick-off for our "Feed the Chimp"- challenge was during the Prolight & Sound event in Frankfurt and the conclusion during our 2018 Experience Day. The challenge where we asked you to design your own predefined effect with a brandnew Bananawing as a prize and, your own created predefined effect made available to each and every Chimp 100 and Chimp 300 unit through the firmware. Light designers all around the world will be able to use your creation. One design stood out and our judges had the following to say about it:

"We have chosen for the "Discharge" effect. Not only the energy but also the symmetry in this design make this effect extremely well suited for a lot of situations where strong contrasts in movement and intensity are required.
The usability of the effect impressed the judges but also the complexity of it. The total effect has been constructed out of 4 different layers.
That is why we are convinced that this is truly an addition to the current predefined effects which will be available for everyone at the touch of a button."

The lucky winner of the Bananawing and the one person who will see his predefined effect being added to every Chimp-unit, is Mr. Johan Klerks. The new effect will be added as soon as the next update is available. We would like to congratulate Mr. Klerks with his victory and thank him for the awesome effect.

  [DONE] Auto-Presets
Posted by: Alex_le_lighteux - 09-10-2018, 09:53 AM - Forum: Chimp Feature Requests - Replies (2)

Hi, is there a way to have an auto-preset function to save a lot of time ? An awesome thing existing in no desk would be to have a window where we could select which preset (already existing in the library) we want to import, to avoid having too much presets on hand, like on an MA.

  Removing attributes from cue
Posted by: Jordi_d_a - 05-10-2018, 04:53 PM - Forum: Chimp General Questions - Replies (2)

Hello everyone,

I ran into a problem, I tried to remove some content from a cue (color attribute) but when I did it the way the manual said, [rec] [cuelist] (cuelist 8) nothing happened I could not remove any content or everything.
I tried another way as well, loading the cue into the programmer and hitting [off] (color attribute) but there is no update button so no success there either and since it's a big cue I don't wanna just replace the cue because it involves a lot of different groups and I might forget one.

I hope someone can help me with this, thanks in advance.

  Dome [2.1] exporting a patchlist
Posted by: Jordi_d_a - 12-09-2018, 12:08 PM - Forum: Chimp Feature Requests - Replies (5)

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there is a quick and easy way to export the patchlist from my console to my usb or to another location, I couldn't find any option for this so I would like to know if I missed it or that it is not there at all.

I'm hoping someone has a solution that doesn't involve having to type everything out in a different file by myself.

Kind regards,

Jordi den Adel.

  Tapsync for FX Speed
Posted by: Steve_Mutter - 10-09-2018, 10:57 PM - Forum: Chimp Feature Requests - Replies (2)

Id would be great if there is the possibility to add a "Tapsync" Option for FX Speed Master. (I'm a secret fan of Tapsync) Blush
I know it's difficult due the different effect speeds. Idea
It would still be nice if you could find a way. Angel

Hi everybody !

I know that Chimps console are running on Linux OS and my question is, how to use the Chimp software on computer ?  Smile
The question is simple but I haven't found any software or explanation about how to install it... And I think that it's one of the basic feature for a lighting console !
To be able to prepare a show on your laptop before the D-day, patching etc...

  Preset/Cuelists
Posted by: Steve_Mutter - 09-09-2018, 08:41 PM - Forum: Chimp General Questions - Replies (3)

I got an Problem in following Situation an think its a bug:

- Stored Presets at "All Preset" Page
- Selecting Fixture -> Selecting Preset from "All Preset" Page -> Record to Fader
- Now Clearing everything with 3x Clear but the Preset from "All Preset Pages" stays in Green Color (Only Background
   Color, no Output)
- When I hit the "OFF" Key and selecting "OFF Window" and hit "Cancel" the Green Background turn off

Second Problem makes the Desk unusable if its a bug and im not wrong.

- I store 2 Dimmers in 1 Cuelist (2 seperate Fixtures!)
- First step Dimmer 1 to 100% -> Record to Fader 1
- Clear, Clear, Clear
- Second step Dimmer 2 to 100% -> Record to Fader 1 -> Append as new Cue
- Clear, Clear, Clear
- Now if I activate the Cuelist by sliding the Fader upwards the First Cue will start correctly
- Now I am skiping to second Cue but Cue 1 won't stop!

Usually only the selected Cue should be active or I'm wrong?
Please Help

- A way more Special Channels (also in Fixture Builder) / thinking of Triggering an Media Server
(at the moment i have to trigger about 60 Videos) Cool
And maybe the Option to Name the Special Channels in Fixture Builder Angel

- It will be great if there is a Way to Show Colors/Gobos etc. in Preset Window
