Dear Eirikhelgesen,
if your console is under waranty, I would strongly suggest to send back the unit to your local dealer or to Highlite if you have a customer account. they can repair and do a thorough check-up. in case you would want to do it yourselves, then all 4 universes are seperate PCB's which are very easy to exchange. so if you are 100% sure that the problem is only the PCB, then ordering this spare-part and loosening some screws will be the work you need to do. hope this info helps.
Feed your Chimp, Keep Calm or go Banana's!!
Best regards, Ron

Also, make sure that the DMX input is switched off. If it is On and assigned to DMX output 4, the output won't work.

Start with the simple checks (cable, fixture, reboot) and then delve into the software configuration (patching, universe enablement, DMX input). If those don't resolve the issue, it could indicate a hardware problem, in which case contacting your dealer or exploring the Crazy Cattle 3D Highlite Forum for advice would be the next steps.
Oh no, Universe 4's having a bad day! Hope it's a quick fix, I'm relying on that port! Fingers crossed it gets sorted out soon.

That's frustrating to have a port not working on your Chimp 300! Hopefully, someone in the community has a fix for you. When tech issues like that happen, sometimes it's good to take a break with something completely different and simple, like seeing how many clicks you can get on Italian Brainrot Clicker! 😄

Oh no, a malfunctioning port can be a real pain! I hope you get it sorted out. For a reliable and straightforward online experience that doesn't involve any tricky hardware, you could always check out Tungsahur Clicker.

Just dealt with a similar issue on my Chimp last month - turned out to be a loose connection inside the unit. Before sending it back for warranty repair, try gently pressing around the Universe 4 port area while testing. Sometimes the PCB just needs a bit of pressure to make proper contact.
Speaking of organizing equipment manuals, I've been using a book embosser to mark all my technical documentation - makes it way easier to track which manuals belong to which venue when you're working multiple gigs! Hope you get it sorted quickly! |
