  Software Release V2.21 (15-09-2023)
Posted by: Ron - 15-09-2023, 09:26 AM - Forum: Chimp Software Releases - No Replies

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 2.21
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*** New Features ***

- Implement Cuelist Pause functionality without back (Fader-Button, MIDI, DMX In, Cuelist Commands, Virtual Executors)
- Implement Tap Speed for Effects.
  - Effects are still syncronized to the global synchronization and not to the tap itself, however the effect speed is now calculated as a rate based on 60 BPM. This behaviour is as such to make sure effects in the same cue with different speeds are still in synchronity. Also, in order to tap your effects accurately to the speed, they **must** be programmed at a speed of 60 CPM. If an effect is programmed with 30 CPM, it will run with half the speed of the tapped speed.
  - In order for a cuelists effect tap button function to work, the fx speed master settings of the cuelist need to be set to "Local BPM". Alternatively you can use a FX Speed Master.
  - The Cuelist's "FX Speed" Fader function scales any speed, either set by BPM locally or through a master relatively to such. Ie. The FX Speed master is set to 50% and the local FX Speed is set to 50%, then the resulting effect will run at 25% of its programmed speed.
- Implement FX Speed Master Settings in Timing Menu
  - An FX Speed Master can now be absolute (BPM) or relative (0-100%)
  - Absolute FX speed masters have a configurable minimum and upper bound
- Added a Patch Import function to import Fixture Patches via a CSV file (infinity/patch_import_export on the USB Stick)
- Added "Appearance" Command for Special Masters
- Amount of Release Groups has been increased to 20
- Updated Qt to 6.4.3
- Updated Boost to 1.7.9

*** Changes ***

- Patch Export Folder on USB Stick has been changed from infinity/patch_export to infinity/patch_import_export

*** Bugfixes ***

- Library: CIE Intensity and HSI Intensity default should be 100%
- Library: CIE xy default should be D65 white
- F_MINT is not used in virtual Dimmer function
- Show Default Timings are not saved / recalled in showfile
- Gobo4 Rotation is falsely mapped to Gobo3 Rotation
- Make chimp Showpartition RW at all times
- Some multicell fixtures had wonky patch behaviour (ie. American DJ Jolt 300 was always patched to universe 1, channel 13)
- Fixed a text length limitation in range representation editor
- Elements recorded using “All for Selected” and “All Values” do not include programmer content
- Snake Predefined Effect inserts a Tilt effect twice
- Fixed an issue where the patch of certain fixtures changed after re-opening a showfile (I.e. ADJ Mega Bar LED)
- Fixed a crash when opening the Record Content Menu in the record toolbar for the second time
- Fixed Effect Editor Ramp Up / Ramp Down icons not matching the button description

*****************************************************************************
**                                      Version 2.0.2 (06.09.2023)                                                    **
*****************************************************************************

Please make sure to back up your show files before updating the console to this release.
You may downgrade to older versions at any time but shows saved with newer versions are not compatible with older versions.
Feedback and Feature Requests
We are now using https://showtec-lampy.nolt.io for feedback and feature requests. For support, please use the facebook group which can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/showteclampy or contact Showtec directly.
New Versioning Scheme
We have changed the version number scheme to semantic versioning, meaning Lampy version numbers will look like “x.y.z. (aabbcc32)”
X is the major version number which will be increased only when major changes are introduced (such as Multicell and the UI-Rewrite in v2).
Y is the minor version number which will be increased when features are added.
Z is the “Bugfix” portion of the version number which will be increased when the release only contains bugfixes or as we see fit.
The text in the brackets points us to a specific version of the code an update has been built with.
Known issues
• Fetch mode indicator in Dimmer Bars is missing
• Only one of each group can be added to a MagicSheet at the moment

Enhancements
• Add Instance Dialog: Add Dmx Channel Preview with option for clicking to select where instance will be added
• Added Copy / Move from Playbacks to Executors and vice versa, if the Playback has only one Cue
• Add Load Effects from Output Button to Effects Editor Context Dialog
• Edit Proportional Range Suffix / Prefix: Allow % and Zirkumflex characters
• Added Fixture Type Multidelete in Library Views
• Table Drag Selection: When dragging outside the view and dragging back up, cells that are not in the range of start to the cursor position are deselected
• More detailed error messages when autogenerating presets fails
• LEDs will now flash if the physical value of a fader does not match the internal value
• Dimmer Bar Text readability has been improved

Bugfixes
Patch Window
• Select Address Grid: Fixtures are displayed as "overlapping" when "No Patch" is selected
• Adding Fixtures: Backing out to fixture type selection and changing selection does not update the settings, when clicking next
• Patch dialog: Missing channel information in universes higher than 1
• Selecting a universe in MANUAL patch does not always update the channel preview

Effects Editor
• Rainbow "Jump" Effects should use PWM instead of Sine
• Effect Editor: Size Max Preset is applied to Size Min

Other Areas
• Disabled Cells in DMX Output Config can not be selected and changed
• Clicking on on-screen MFF Items in lampy 40 selects wrong items
• Allow for point to be entered in setValue dialog, as the hint text suggests
• Set Value Dialog "Thru" does not work with DMX Values
• Updating Presets via Remove / Replace / Merge is broken and does not update all values
• Custom created fixtures may show phantom values on OLEDs for non-existing features
• Library Instance Preveiw Pool: Add "Fine" suffix to fine channels
• Library Editor Min And max prop range keypad dialogs should activate the "-" button in keypad
• Small Magic Sheet Arranger fixes
• Sound Input Trigger DropDown is now showing sound input type correctly
• Fixed an issue where a Virtual Dimmer added in the library editor would snap when moving the dimmer. o To update existing user-written fixtures, please disable and reenable the virtual dimmer in those.

• "showtec" folder is now correctly created on USB sticks if it does not exist
• Exports no longer fail if the expected directory structure does not exist on the target USB stick
• Fixed Color Picker Zoom fit not working

  break tracking
Posted by: Le Kafteur - 08-08-2023, 03:30 PM - Forum: Chimp General Questions - No Replies

Hello,
Someone can explain how to use the "break tracking" in the cuelist column because it doesn't do nothing for me..
It should do : "will prevent any changes made to cues prior to this cue to track into and after the break cue. "
thanks

Resync button for speed master etc
Posted by: Matrix ES - 05-08-2023, 09:53 PM - Forum: Chimp Feature Requests - No Replies

It would be greatly appreciated if a Resync button were to be added this way you don’t constantly need to alter the bpm…

In addition to a Resync it would be amazing to have a command or an option to manually enter the bom

DTS XR2000 SPOT CMY No Light with Software Version 2
Posted by: tom@akofx - 23-07-2023, 05:27 PM - Forum: LAMPY General Questions - Replies (3)

After updating to the latest software release of the Showtec Lampy 20 2U it was not possible to switch connected DTS XR2000 SPOT CMY to a light output.
I went through all (!) parameters of one or more XR2000 several times - and changed all (!) parameters (using the jog wheels). Pan and tilt work, but a light output was not possible.
Remarkably, the highlight function at the top of the toolbar worked successfully.
(So the highlight function knows the dimmer channels of the XR2000 and can also control them - why not using the jog wheels?)
I then went back to software release 1.0.5 - loaded several DTS XR2000 SPOT CMY and on the first try... light output was there!
In the software version 2 of the Showtec Lampy, a few values were displayed for Intensity - which I didn't really know what to do with (the value dimmer was offered twice, for example - why? Actually even 3x with values that are not understandable.) ...
hmmmm...
Greatings from Austria
Thomas
