[DONE] Remove fixture count limitation
Posted by: Titte - 20-10-2019, 12:50 PM - Forum: Chimp Feature Requests - Replies (2)

Best,

as long as the chimp 300 does not have multifixtures, is it not possible to remove the limitation of 300 fixtures? so that one can program dimmers instead of the mutifixtures?

And possibly increase the artnet limit of 6 universes?
Currently the chimp is almost too little to be able to run our shows which is a great pity!

  [FIXED] Updating Preset View
Posted by: Steve_Mutter - 05-10-2019, 10:33 AM - Forum: Chimp Bug Reports - Replies (4)

Hey Guys,

I just discovered a bug in preprogramming.
If I select a group of fixtures and give them an ALL PRESET, the preset will not be marked.
Only when I change to another view and back again.
Details on Video: https://youtu.be/gf1NERXufvc

Problems only with All Presets

That's a pretty annoying problem. Angry
Request for a quick solution

  OnPC
Posted by: Steve_Mutter - 25-09-2019, 08:35 PM - Forum: Chimp Software Releases - Replies (6)

Hello Guys,

I've downloaded the OnPc and made myself a little smart.
The OnPc allows the output of 2 DMX universes in conjunction with the Banana Wing.
I wonder what that makes sense.
For pre-programming the OnPC is completely useless as long as you do not want to put the Wing into the office every time.
And the next Question is if i connect the Wing to the OnPc is ArtNet Output available or will be some Adapters needed?
In the future is planned that maybe a kind of dongle or license code is brought out to make preprogramming in the office possible? I'm pretty disappointed because I've been waiting for the OnPc only for that reason.
At this point there is an Issue with mounting USB Sticks so at the moment im not able to open any Show.
I posted a thread in the Bug section for this.

Greets
Tom

  !IMPORTANT! update regarding V.1.10
Posted by: WesleyHouben - 24-09-2019, 05:21 PM - Forum: Chimp Software Releases - Replies (2)

Hi all,

I know some of you have some issues downloading and finding software version 1.10.

Let's shedd some light on the issue.

As we speak the download file for both the V.1.10 plus the OnPc version is uploading to the Infinity and Highlite website. However, due to an currently unknown IT issue syncen the website with the new software version doesnt work the way it should. They are looking into the matter and i hope by the end of the week everything should be sorted out.

The same thing goes for the release notes. the current release notes are not complete. A part of the fixes and additions to the software are not represented in the release notes.

Bare with me untill the end of the week and i will come back to you as soon as possible.

Ofcourse the current messy way of uploading and sharing a new software release is not the way we
delivered in the past. They will however work hard to sort things out and get you back on the road rocking the new version ASAP.

As for the understandable dissappointment of not having multi fixtures implemented. I totally agree with the fact that it is taking a long time. Like i said its an time consuming issue. I cannot make any promisses of when and how it will be released. I am however a firm believer that it will be plemented. I also believe it is necessary for the Chimp to provide you with that awesome power of fixture control.

Keep in mind that developers way the pro's and cons of wat to implement. OnPc was a serious demand for a lot of users.

Just know that development is ongoing and they are not standing still.

Cheers,

  Software Release V1.10 ( 21-9-2019)
Posted by: leandermortiers - 21-09-2019, 02:15 PM - Forum: Chimp Software Releases - Replies (6)

Version 1.10 (10.04.2019)

This update extends the Infinity Chimp series by a PC Simulator Software.

New Feature: OnPc Version

The OnPc Version comes as a runnable VMWare image and will thus run under Windows as well as Mac OS. We recommend at least a
Core i 5 CPU (2017 or newer) with 86B of Ram. The virtual machine will need at least 2 Cores and 4GB of RAM.

The OnPc Version will display the Chimp Screen Content in individual windows. Due to the Full-HD resolution of the Chimp
touchscreens we recommend a minimum resolution of 2560x1440 for using the OnPc .
If the computer running the OnPC has a smaller resolution then some windows might not fully fit into the available screen size.
As a helper it is possible to move windows around by holding the keyboards "AL T" key and clicking in the background of the
window.

The OnPC Version will be able to interface with the Banana Wing turning the OnPc into a small take-away console. The Banana Wing
will unlock 2 universes of ArtNet and DMX for the OnPC.

Bugfixes:
- Fixed active DHCP setting blocking boot process, if no network cable is plugged in
